Some businesses are built from flashy boardrooms. Ours started in a garage. After more than a decade selling for California Closets, our founder Don Wise decided in 2003 to put his knowledge to work in a new way, building a business grounded in trust, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships. He rolled up his sleeves, took the leap, and launched his own company called Louisiana Custom Closets out of his own garage. Eventually, Don took over Bayou Closets, motivated to further bring quality custom storage solutions to homeowners in the NOLA region.

The motivation wasn’t glamour or quick wins. It was simple: provide solutions that genuinely improve people’s homes and lives. In an industry where promises are easy to make but hard to keep, Bayou Closets earned a reputation for going the extra mile until the client is completely satisfied, no matter what it takes.
